Happy Birthday, Anniversary, & Valentine's Day to Me.....

********************
********************

Yes, you’ve read it correctly....It’s not only Valentine’s Day but 54 years ago (how long, never!!!) I came into the world. Not content with that, Andy and I decided to get married thirteen years ago today. Now I’m trying to decide which is worst, reaching the age of 54 or being married for 13 years and still smiling.....hehe...Seriously we have had a lovely time with the day ending with a great meal at our favourite place in Hayle. There is always a warm friendly greeting when we go to the Balti King, it’s like visiting friends.....

Also to celebrate this day I relented and had my photograph taken!! I have never been photogenic and today was no exception. You will see that the photo in my profile definitely needs updating, that was taken in 2005 before the years and gravity caught up with me....hehe... Also I’ve put loads of weight on over the last year or so, hence my going back to Slimming World.....

The Happy Couple...

Oh No! Another one of the Happy Couple...

Chocolates and a Rose
What more could a girl ask for....
********************
As you can see, only just as the photo is a bit blurry, I was given a rose at the Balti plus extra chocs (I’d already eaten two...hehe..)...But the rose wasn’t the only flowers I received. Charlotte’s mum also gave me flowers and added a personal touch with greenery from her garden, yellow tissue and tied with a blue ribbon.......

They Smell Devine...

And the surprises didn’t end there. As I walked into my lounge (well storeroom/building yard) on returning home I noticed cards and pressies from my son. He must have called in on his way home from work. I was really touched and sorry I missed him. I haven’t opened them yet.....

Love the Christmas Paper
Good example of recycling....

Didn’t we look a fine pair....

********************

This was taken on our honeymoon in Egypt on a boat. It was an ‘Egyptian Night’ and we dressed for the part...hehe...The first week we did a Nile cruise and for the second week we stayed in Hurgurda near the Red Sea. This was an amazing two weeks....Oh did I warn you there are lots of photos in this posting...oh dear....
~~~~~~~~
Well not to be out done and in fairness to Andy, I am going to embarrass myself now...hehe...
********************
My, where have the years gone......and like Andy I too sat on a horse but you will notice mine was a live one... I know, I have permed hair!!!! What came over my mother? Apparently it was popular at the time but for little girls...lol....
Well the years passed and I grew up and decided to train as a nurse. Here I am with a Good Luck bouquet for my finals from my fiancée at the time. And yes that was my real hair colour, which is now helped with good old hair dye!.......
Now this is the final shot of me you will be glad to know. What I failed to mention was not only have the years caught up with me but I also wear glasses so please may I introduce you to the real Chrissy, chins, warts and all......
The Camera Never Lies (I wish it would)
********************
You were warned...Ok you can stop screaming now....hehe...If you prefer to look at some vintage Valentine pics instead then nip over to my other blog. I’ve even posted a Valentine verse I penned for a friend many years ago, how sad am I.......
********************
********************
Well there you have it, a brief summery of, in pictures, of my 54 years. If you are still with me I will say good night. I hope you enjoyed Valentine’s Day and was spoilt rotten....Until next time take care...lol.....
Glad I made you smile Gina...hehe...That perm was growing out, you should see it when it was tight curls. My mum must have a sense of humor too!!!!I'm lucky to have so many photos from my childhood. I love photos, ask my friends I'm forever taking them...
Thanks about the photos. Guy won't mind making me one, compared to what I've had him make for me recently....lol...Hugs Chrissy x
Thank you dear Ann...Yes it is a special day for us, especially with Andy actually booking the day off. I don't know about me being perfect...hehe...but the day was....
I have been thinking about you guys & following the news about the fires. I hope everyone is fine. I will visit P4P but I've been using Andy's laptop (which I hate) due to my computer being moved due to the building work. No excuse I know...lol....Hugs Chrissy x
Hello Chrissy!
Happy days - all belated; I wish you the merriest and healthiest for the next year for you!
Thanks for sharing. I loved the confirmation pic the best I think, next to the one with the pup.
Always blessed,
Blondie
Thanks Blondie. Great to see you drop by. Dinky, the little pup was a sweet little thing but sadly had to be put down not long after due to hardpad & distemper....You may notice my late reply but it's been hectic here, my next post should reveal all....lol...Hugs Chrissy x
